Biography
Dr. Marco Moccetti is a specialist in clinical and interventional cardiology (coronary and structural).
He carries out his outpatient activity mainly at the Centro Cardiologico Ticino and his interventional activity at the Istituto Cardiocentro Ticino in Lugano, where for several years he was Head of the cath labs and of the Day Hospital.
After a period of training in Ticino at the Fondazione Cardiocentro Ticino and the regional hospitals of Lugano and Bellinzona, he specialised further in German-speaking Switzerland at the University Hospital and the KinderSpital in Zurich, in Europe at the Semmelweis University of Budapest, and overseas at the Victoria Heart Institute Foundation, British Columbia.
He has contributed to numerous multicentre studies and scientific publications.
He is a member of the Swiss Medical Association (FMH), the Swiss Society of Cardiology (SGK), the Medical Association of the Canton of Ticino (OMCT), the ESC (European Society of Cardiology) and the Swiss Working Group Interventional Cardiology.
It was on his initiative that, with the help of his collaborators, the Centro Cardiologico Ticino was founded in November 2022; he serves as its Head.
