Biography
Dr. Paiocchi, co-founder of the Centro Cardiologico Ticino, is a specialist in clinical Cardiology and in advanced cardiac imaging techniques (including basic transthoracic echocardiography, three-dimensional echocardiography, 3D transoesophageal echocardiography, coronary CT and cardiac MRI with perfusion studies). She uses the most modern medical equipment to meet patients' changing needs and to deliver high-quality care efficiently. She graduated cum laude from the University of Milan Faculty of Medicine and Surgery, and completed an advanced training period at the Cardiocentro Ticino in Lugano, where she served as Senior Physician in the Cardiovascular Imaging Service.
Member of and certified by the EACVI (European Association of Cardiovascular Imaging), member of the ESC (European Society of Cardiology), of the Swiss Medical Association (FMH), of the Medical Association of the Canton of Ticino (OMCT) and of the Medical Association of Milan (OMCeO). She regularly attends the major national and international congresses and refresher courses.
Professional career
Course in Biological Sciences at the University of Milan, preparatory to the degree course in Medicine and Surgery.
Degree course in Medicine and Surgery with honours, University of Milan. An academic career completed with excellence and a progressive orientation towards cardiovascular disease.
Medical licence obtained. Postgraduate internship at the San Donato Milanese Hospital in the Stroke Unit.
Specialisation in Cardiovascular Diseases at the University of Milan. Master in Echocardiography and valvular disease. Clinical activity on the cardiology ward and in the cardiac intensive care unit at the San Paolo Hospital (Milan). Imaging activity in the echocardiography laboratory. Activity in the pacing room and in the cath lab.
